    Mrs. Christin Walsh's Educational Background
    I love to Read!

    Educational Background:

After graduating from Saint Rose High School in Belmar, New Jersey, I attended William Paterson University.  There I pursued a degree in Special Education and Elementary Education.  Upon graduation, I was hired as a resource room teacher for a K-8 school in Riverdale, NJ where I had completed my student teaching.  From there, I moved on to become a Special Education Teacher in Hillsdale, NJ.  While teaching in Hillsdale full-time, I decided to return to school for my Masters Degree in Reading with a Reading Specialist Certification at William Paterson University.

A few years ago, I completed an Educational Leadership program at William Paterson University.  Participating in the program allowed me to obtain my Supervisor Certificate as well as my Principal Certificate.  Last year, I began to study Orton-Gillingham through the University of San Diego.  The program has been a wonderful experience and has broadened my knowledge of multi-sensory literacy techniques. Last year, I began my journey with learning about how to implement Mindfulness in the classroom.  After completing courses for educators on mindfulschools.org, I began working with a group of teachers to bring mindfulness to the students at MES.  This year embarks upon my 18th year in public education.  I am so happy to be here in Manasquan!
