    SUMMER READING ASSIGNMENTS GRADES 1 – 5

     

    Dear Parents and Guardians,

    In preparation for the summer, we would like to inform you of a fun summer reading activity for the students entering grades 1 through 5. We ask for students to look at the Bingo Board for the grade level that they will be entering in September and complete the activities throughout the summer.

    Here is how it works:

    1. Students choose an activity.
    2. Once the student completes the activity, they color in the appropriate activity box.

    The goal is to complete five activities of their choice to get Bingo! Activities can be completed in a row, a column, or a diagonal. We encourage students to level up for the summer challenge of completing all 25 tasks and completely filling out their Bingo board!

    Students are asked to have their parents sign the completed board and hand it in to their new teacher in September. Our goal with this program is for children to complete the activities in an engaging manner to help them to develop a lifelong love of reading. We hope that you will join us on this journey!
