This is the Pandacam at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, DC. Bei Bei was born on August 22nd, 2015. In January 2016 the public was allowed to begin see Bei Bei when visiting the zoo.
Click this link to see the pandas at the zoo. You may see 3 pandas on the cam. Mommy panda is Mei Xiang and Daddy is Tian Tian. Bao Bao is Bei Bei's older sister. Their older brother is Tai Shan. He was the first panda born at the National Zoo. When he was four years old, Tai Shan was sent to China to live in a panda preserve. Bao Bao was sent back to China last year when she turned four. Bei Bei has another year before he will be going to China.
All the pandas in the US are here on lease from China. The US government and Chinese government have a $10 million dollar agreement.
