I've been teaching seventh and eighth grade English and reading at Manasquan Elementary School since 2004. Prior to Manasquan, I taught education courses in the Graduate Department of Education at Rider University, various writing courses at Brookdale Community College, American Literature and Creative Writing at Franklin Pearce College, and seven years as an English teacher at Mastricola Middle School, Merrimack, New Hampshire. I received my B.S. in English/English, Secondary Education from Boston University, and a Master's Degree in Teaching and a Master's Degree in Writing and Literature from Rivier College in New Hampshire. I have also published several books on the teaching of writing, grammar, and nonfiction comprehension (Teacher Created Resources), and worked on the development of educational lesson plans for Time magazine's educational division. In June 2009, I finished graduate studies at Georgian Court University, and obtained my New Jersey's Supervisor's Certificate.
