    • PLTW has established four performance levels to indicate a student’s performance on an End-of-Course Assessment: Novice, Practiced, Accomplished, and Distinguished.
    • The scale score ranges from 100 to 600, with a higher score indicating a higher level of achievement.
    • The scale score allows for valid comparisons within and across years for each PLTW course.
    • Scale scores also provide a foundation for defining performance levels.

You may access your End-of-Course (EoC) Assessment scores, along with details on your performance within Skill Clusters, in the My Assessments section of your myPLTW account at any time.

    3. What score do I need to qualify for college credit?

Colleges and Universities determine qualifying scores for various levels of recognition. Students should contact the college of their choice to understand opportunities associated with successful completion of a PLTW course. General information about opportunities at multiple institutions of higher education can be reviewed at PLTW Student Opportunities.Links to an external site.

For those institutions using a score to define proficiency, PLTW provides descriptions for each achievement level on the back of each student score report. If an institution you work with would like additional guidance using the PLTW EoC assessment scores, please encourage them to reach out directly to the assessments team by email at pltwassessment@pltw.org.

    Notes:

    • Students must complete a separate college transcript application after each year a PLTW course is taken
    • “Practiced”, “Accomplished”, & “Distinguished” rankings are all eligible to apply for a college transcript (See RIT Grading KeysLinks to an external site. for letter grade that will show on the college transcript)
    • PLTW students’ course grades/EoC Reports are sent directly to RIT in June, each year, so all eligible students may apply directly to the college for a transcript
