Achieved Bachelor of Science from East Stroudsburg University in Exercise Physiology
Currently holds Certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association
12th Year Teacher of Health and Physical Education at Manasquan High School
Substitute taught and coached for over 5 years at various schools including Manasquan High School, Manasquan Elementary, Brielle Elementary and Asbury Park High School
Mr. Voskian is currently an assistant Spring Track and Field Coach
Mr. Voskian is a graduate of Brielle Elementary and Manasquan High School and currently lives in Howell with his wife and son.
Mr. Voskian remains active playing rec softball, kayaking and working out on a daily basis.
Physical Education Rules and Grading Criteria
1. Preparation - Students must change for gym everday. Not changing results in an unprepared grade deduction of 15 points. 3 unprepareds results in a failing grade. One unprepared may be made up by running 1 mile with the teacher after school.
2. Participation - If a student chooses to sit out for an activity without written consent from the nurse, he or she will lose 10 points off of their participation grade. This grade is 1/4 or 25% of their physical education grade.
3. Fitness - Students must participate in all fitness activities (stretching, strength training, running etc.) Students must also make an effort to improve their fitness level. Choosing to sit out from fitness activities or displaying consistent lack of effort will result in deductions from their fitness grade on a subjective basis.
4. Team Play - Sportsmenlike conduct and team play is an essential part of the physical education grade. Any disrespect towards classmates, ballhogging, interefering with the flow of the activity, displaying unsportsmanlike behavior will result in deductions from this area of the gym grade.
*Any and all acts that compromise the safety of all students and or the teacher, failure to adhere to school and gym rules, or other acts of inappropriate behavior will result in deductions from the physical education grade in accordance with their severity.
