Manasquan High School Class of 2029
Manasquan High School is thrilled to welcome the Class of 2029 this fall! As you prepare for this exciting new chapter, we are here to provide key information and resources to ensure a smooth and successful transition for both students and families.
School Counselor - We understand that transitioning to 9th grade is a significant adjustment for students. Ms. Lauren Saliski, the 9th grade counselor, is dedicated to supporting students and families throughout this important transition. She can be reached by email at lsaliski@manasquan.k12.nj.us or by phone at 732-528-8820 x1016.
Course Selection and Class Schedules - One of the first important steps in transitioning to high school is selecting courses for. A 9th grade schedule includes a combination of required classes and electives, allowing students to explore their interests. To help with this process, 8th grade students attended a high school information session where they learned about course levels and elective options. Students received a course selection sheet, which should be reviewed and discussed with a parent or guardian. Completed course sheets must be submitted to the 8th grade counselor/ advisor by March 14, 2025. Furthermore, throughout the spring, MHS counselors will spend time reviewing course selections and developing schedules for each student. The 9th grade counselor is available, upon request, to meet and answer questions throughout the spring and summer. *New students will meet with a counselor to discuss scheduling as part of the registration process. CLICK HERE TO BEGIN THE REGISTRATION PROCESS.
Orientation - Freshman orientation is designed to help 9th grade students transition smoothly into high school. The day will begin with students following their class schedules, meeting their teachers, and getting to know their classmates. Following the morning session, students will enjoy a BBQ lunch and can explore various clubs and activities. Our Welcome Warriors will be available throughout the day to assist students with navigating the building and answering any questions they may have. Freshman orientation for the Class of 2029 is scheduled for Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
Parent Portal - At the beginning of the summer, parents/ guardians will receive a notification with instructions to register for the Parent Portal. The portal provides access to student grades, schedules, teacher contact information, and sports applications. *New students will obtain a Parent Portal account during the registration process.
