Manasquan High School believes that both print and non-print resources are a vital part of the research process. Therefore, the Media Center maintains over 4,000 print resources and 170 million electronic resources that may be borrowed by both students and teachers.
Print resources are available for checkout during school hours and 30 minutes before and after school. Our online library catalog may be searched 24 hours a day/7 days a week from our Media Center’s homepage, https://www.manasquanschools.org/page/352, via a link to our Library Catalog, https://manasquan.follettdestiny.com/common/welcome.jsp?site=101&context=saas03_294.
Electronic resources are easily accessed by using the Virtual Library search box on the Media Center’s homepage [https://www.manasquanschools.org/page/352], powered by the EBSCO Discovery Service. This is available to all students and teachers using their internet-connected school-issued tablets and their school network login & password. This access is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Electronic resources may also be accessed via other personal, internet-connected electronic devices using the MHS Media Center’s webpage and students’ or teachers’ manually entered network login/password combinations.
In order to have equal access to these resources, the following circulation guidelines have been established:
- Students may borrow up to 5 books at a time.
- Students may borrow an additional 3 electronic books (ebooks) at a time.
- Students may not borrow additional materials if they have an overdue book or a fine of over $3 on their account.
- Students are responsible for all items that have been checked out on their accounts.
