Manasquan High School Class of 2028 Information
9th Grade Counselor- Manasquan High School recognizes that entering 9th grade is a big adjustment for many students. Lauren Saliski is the 9th grade counselor at Manasquan High School, and she will be supporting students and families through this momentous transition! 9th Grade Course Selection- Sending district students attended a high school information session where they were provided a course selection sheet. This is the beginning of the process for creating a schedule for 9th grade. *New students will meet with a counselor as part of the registration process. CLICK HERE TO BEGIN THE REGISTRATION PROCESS.
9th Grade Schedules- Throughout the spring and summer, MHS counselors will spend time reviewing course selections and developing schedules for each student. The 9th grade counselor will be available, upon request, to meet and answer questions throughout the spring and summer.
Orientation- Freshman Orientation will take place in two parts. In August, there will be a 9th grade cookout and a welcome to Manasquan High School. Students will have the opportunity to eat delicious food, meet other 9th grade students, sign-up for clubs & activities, and tour the building with their schedules. September 4, 2024, will be the first day of school for 9th graders only! There will be “Welcome Warriors” throughout the building to help students navigate their schedule and first day of school.
Parent Portal- Prior to the start of the school year, parents/guardians will receive a notification with instructions to register for the Parent Portal. The portal provides access to student grades, schedules, teacher contact information, and sports applications. *New students will obtain a Parent Portal account during the registration process.
Canvas- Canvas is the online learning platform utilized by Manasquan High School teachers and students. It is an all-encompassing assignment, discussion, assessment, and organizational tool that teachers use as their primary method of distributing assignments. Parents/Guardians can have access to view Canvas content through an OBSERVER ACCOUNT.
Fall Sports- For students interested in fall sports, the sports applications can be accessed under the “Forms” tab on Parent Portal. Click on the “MHS Fall Sports Application” and complete the information. The MHS History and Physical Forms, due dates, and additional information can be found under ATHLETICS on the Manasquan High School website. Any questions regarding athletics can be directed to the Athletic Department at 732-528-8820 x1022.
