This is my 8th year as a member of the MHS teaching staff, in Family and Consumer Science. My objective is to provide experiences in the classroom that advance the life skills of today's students. My teaching philosophy encompasses both curriculum-based criteria coupled with character education. Through hands-on and experiential learning, students will demonstrate competency in areas such as food preparation, nutrition, kitchen safety and sanitation, sewing and design, group collaboration, problem-solving, and accountability.
Prior to joining MHS, I taught for 2 years in Jackson Schools in both Family and Consumer Science and Business Education. Prior to teaching, I was a project manager for an interior design firm and a visual merchandising manager.
