  • Manasquan Named to AP Honor Roll

For the third time in eight years, Manasquan High School has been named to the College Board Advanced Placement District Honor Roll!

This is a great achievement- to our knowledge, very few (if any) high schools in New Jersey have been recognized three times. Thanks to our Board of Education, our teachers, and our students for achieving great success and for pushing yourselves to achieve at the highest level. While we always stress the importance of providing OPPORTUNITY for our students, it is gratifying to receive national recognition for our efforts.

  • Surf Team Four-Peat State Champions!

The Manasquan High School surf team battled for 10 straight hours against 18 high school surf teams across NJ and NY, trying to earn their fourth straight state championship.  After crowning Morgan Iglay as the individual girls state champion and Keaton Fortney as the longboard state champion, it was announced that Ocean City High school had won the overall team championship by a mere 2 points, 180 to 178.  Because it was the closest finish in the history of the competition, the Manasquan coaches recalculated the team score to confirm their total.  In doing so, it was discovered that Manasquan had not been awarded six points earned for one of the heats.  A meeting was held between the coaches, the director of the National Scholastic Surfing Association, and the administration of MHS to discuss the discrepancy in the scores.  The result of the meeting was that the discovery of the missed points was accurate.  The additional six points was enough to bring the team total 184, securing the overall team win for Manasquan, officially making this their fourth consecutive state championship.  Congratulations to the surf team for another successful season.
