• Mandatory Pre-Employment Training for Substitutes, Coaches, & Volunteers

    Thank you for your interest in a position as a substitute, coach, or volunteer in the Manasquan School District!  Persons in these positions serve a vital role in our schools and we appreciate your interest.

    As employees or volunteers in the District, there are certain training requirements that will not only help you perform your functions but are also required by law.  We recognize the unique nature of these positions often means varied work/volunteer schedules that may make it difficult for you to attend in-person trainings.  To accommodate this, we are offering these trainings online using our Safe Schools platform that allows you to complete your mandatory training at home, online, and at your convenience.

    The following online trainings are required to be completed before you can be hired and/or approved as an employee or volunteer with the Manasquan School District:

    • Bullying – Recognition and Response (NJ)  (30 min)
    • Child Abuse – Identification and Intervention (33 min)
    • Child Abuse – Mandatory Reporting (24 min)
    • Sexual Harassment – Student Issues and Response (32 min)
    • Sexual Misconduct – Staff to Student (24 min)

    You do not need to complete all of these trainings at one time nor complete an entire training in one session.  The online system keeps track of what you completed and will return you to where you left off when you next log in.  A short quiz is required at the end of each training.

    After we have processed your registration, you will receive an email with your required trainings and instructions to get started.  If you are unable to complete the trainings from your own computer, you can call our office to arrange time to complete them in our office.
