The MES greenhouse is in full bloom! Thanks to Stephen Barlow and Barlow’s Garden Center in Sea Girt, our greenhouse is home to poinsettias, begonias, succulents, and zebrina plants. Students in Ms. Rostron’s art classes will be drawing the plants. Later, some classes will be planting paper-whites to watch them grow and then draw them once they are in full bloom. This project is a fun and engaging way to fuse science with art, allowing the students to grow their very own still-life subjects. We are excited to see these plants and art projects grow, and are thankful for our community partnership with Barlow’s that his allowed this to happen.
