The environmental club was formed in 2002. The club's main goal is to make the Manasquan community environmentally aware.
Our club works very closely with the Environmental Commission of Manasquan. Together we have taken part in essay contests, "the adopt-a-dune" project, dune planting and maintaince, beach clean-ups, and recording secretary for the monthly commission meetings.
Also, in the fall of 2010, the environmental club started a recycling bottle cap program. More info can be found at the link below:
The Environmental club worked on the "Help Light NJ" program. This program set out to make the public more aware of energy efficient light bulbs. Through this program the state provided over 500,000 light bulbs to senior citizens and low income housing.
Every spring the environmental club helps out installing fencing around area of Beach in Spring Lake and Sea Girt to protect
an endangered bird who makes its nesting habitat at our local beaches.
