The Manasquan School District's curriculum is built on a commitment to high-quality, coherent learning from PreK through grade 12. Strong instructional practices, meaningful assessment, and continuous improvement drive increased student achievement across all levels.
At the elementary level, the focus is on foundational skills and instructional effectiveness. At the high school level, rigorous opportunities — including the International Baccalaureate Program — prepare students for college, careers, and life beyond graduation.

The district uses a balanced assessment system to guide instruction and monitor progress at every level. Classroom-based assessments are paired with district and state measures to support continuous improvement.
Required assessments include the NJSLA-Adaptive (ELA & Math) and NJSLA (Science). Secondary students may also sit for AP exams, IB assessments, and the NJ Seal of Biliteracy. Early grades include math and reading diagnostics and a dyslexia screener for early identification and intervention.

Manasquan's curriculum is thoughtfully developed and regularly reviewed to align with New Jersey learning standards and the evolving needs of students. Instruction emphasizes critical thinking, real-world application, and support for diverse learners — from foundational elementary skills to rigorous IB coursework at the high school level.
