Board Goal:
The Manasquan Board of Education is committed to ensuring that our schools provide students and staff with access to high-quality digital instructional resources that support teaching and learning while promoting fiscal responsibility. As the district continues to expand the use of digital instructional tools, software platforms, and online subscriptions, it is important to ensure that these resources are effectively utilized, aligned with instructional goals, and managed efficiently. The Board of Education, in collaboration with the administration, will conduct an inventory and analysis of instructional software titles, digital platforms, and subscription-based resources currently used throughout the district. This review will identify patterns of use, evaluate the effectiveness and value of existing resources, and inform future purchasing decisions by reducing unnecessary duplication and ensuring that technology investments support district instructional priorities. (Aligned with Strategic Plan Goal Area #3, Objective 3.)
Superintendent’s Goal:
The Superintendent of Schools, Assistant Superintendent, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Technology Coordinator, and building administrators will lead the effort to conduct a district-wide inventory of instructional software applications, digital learning platforms, and subscription-based instructional resources utilized by students and staff. This inventory will identify the purpose, grade levels served, licensing information, and level of utilization for each resource. Usage data and stakeholder input will be analyzed to determine whether resources are being effectively implemented, underutilized, or duplicated across departments or schools. Based on this analysis, the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Technology Coordinator will develop recommendations for consolidating resources where appropriate, eliminating redundant or low-use subscriptions, and establishing a sustainable process for evaluating future software purchases and renewals to maximize instructional impact and fiscal efficiency. (Aligned with Strategic Plan Goal Area #3, Objective 3.)
