Mrs. Jennifer Mura
Special Education Teacher
Thank you for visiting my web page! I am a PROUD alumni of Manasquan High School and have been teaching special education within the district for 23 years. The first six years were spent at the elementary school teaching the K-4 self-contained, special education class and the remaining years have been at the high school teaching LLD English, Life Skills English as well as in-class resource English I-IV.
Prior to becoming a teacher, I spent four years working as an Aide to the Governor in Trenton. There, I was able to hone my skills as a writer, which has directly benefited my students as I teach them to become more confident and proficient writers.
I graduated with a B.A. in Communications from Glassboro State College in 1991 and received my special education certificate from Georgian Court University in 1995 after leaving the world of politics. Through the teaching program at Georgian Court, I also obtained certification in K-8 elementary education, as well as a certificate in Guidance Counseling. I returned to Georgian Court a few years later and received my M.E. in 2003.
I am extremely proud to be a Manasquan High School teacher, as I believe that we, as a group, have one thing in common...we love kids and we put them first...we go out of our way to really "be there" for them; above and beyond the academic world. After all; they ARE our future.
