Career Education and Decision Making
Each middle school student goes through career exploration and receives an educational planning guide to help them focus on what kind of career they may be interested in. They complete an interest assessment which guides them in answering different questions that helps to explore different careers matching their interests and personality. The students complete a career decision making system that helps them to find jobs related to their area of interest. Some of the categories of interest may include science, social areas, arts, business, or office operations. Students begin to develop and write their own resumes as they explore various life activities which they have experienced.
