We live in an increasingly technological world and the Manasquan High School Industrial Technology Department recognizes that it is necessary to provide today’s young adults with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in this environment. The program provides students with viable experiences in studying specific technologies and the principles underlying them. Emphasis is placed on the design, production, and assessment of products, services, and systems.

 

The Industrial Technology classes at MHS provide a learning atmosphere where students are challenged not only through their comprehension of content studied but also by hands-on experiences. These laboratory experiences are correlated to the content, providing students with an opportunity to learn technical skills and basic knowledge applicable to many occupations and professions.

 

In these courses, students learn skills in critical thinking, problem solving, information gathering, cooperative learning, all the while becoming more technical and computer literate.
